Eliciting requirements for a multisensory eXtended Reality platform for training and informal learning (paper)
We already presented the methodology used in BRIDGES project in a previous article, now we are glad to announce that the paper “Eliciting requirements for a multisensory eXtended Reality platform for training and informal learning” is available!
The paper summarizes the research goals, methodology and outcomes that have been held by the BRIDGES project, especially to elicit the users needs and requirements and establish a user-centered iterative approach.
Through a series of workshops and focus groups with users from relevant organizations, we collected a total of nearly 100 pedagogical, technological, experiential, operational and other user needs from within these two different contexts, and discuss here the challenges and limitations but also the opportunities that were encountered.
The paper was accepted following a double blind review by at least 3 reviewers, and presented during the CHIGreece2021 conference (the 1st International Conference of the Greece ACM SIGCHI Chapter) that counted on more than 500 participants from over the world!
During the presentation – by project partner National & Kapodistrian University of Athens – we had the opportunity to discuss with professionals the challenges of bridging the research for XR multisensory, multi user platform with real life scenarios driven by the two use cases: industrial training at fire brigade and informal learning at cultural heritage venues.
